Vocaloid Fanfic Trade

It was an hour before midnight. Kaito had promised Meiko that he would meet up with her, so he could help Meiko rehearse the new song she had finished composing only a few days, beforehand. They were supposed to meet up at midnight at Lagoon Park. It was Meiko’s idea.

Gakupo had an arm draped over Luka’s shoulder. Luka’s cheeks were flush red from drinking too much. She hiccuped lightly, before exclaiming, “Gakupo, get your hands off me!”

“Ah, come on Luka.” Gakupo begged making an innocent face. It was a bad attempt. Gakupo was equally drunk like Luka. His face was anything, but innocent.

“No!” Luka tried shaking the boy, with long purple hair, off of her.

“I’m definitely not allowing you two to get inside my car.” Kaito said, as he stared at his two friends quarreling.

“Ah, come on! How are we supposed to get home, then?” Luka complained. She gazed intently into Kaito’s navy eyes trying to convince him by using the seduction of her eyes.

“Don’t know! Figure it out,” Kaito said cheerfully with a smile, before he stepped inside his car. Miku, who was carrying a large stuffed animal gave Luka a sideways glance. “Sorry Luka, Gakupo. Good luck!”

Miku then got inside the passenger seat of Kaito’s car. Rin and Len were already sitting inside the backseats of the car. The Kagamine twins poked their heads out the back window and waved goodbye to Luka and Gakupo, “Bye bye!”

“W-wait…. Grr, this is your entire fault!” Luka blamed Gakupo. Gakupo stretched his arms up in the air, before letting them drop. “Ahh, come on it won’t be that bad. We’re not that far from a bus stop. We can take the bus for transportation.”

“Instead of going home, how about we go to a love hotel?” Gakupo suggested.

“Mmph,” Luka huffed, before walking down the road path. She knew she was drunk, but she wasn’t that drunk!

Gakupo pouted, before trailing behind the Pink haired goddess.

“Kaito, the car’s headlights just went off. It’s very dark outside. Do you think we should continue driving like this?” Miku asked, worried. The road before her eyes was pitched black. She couldn’t even make out the shadows of the trees.

“We’ll be fine. I forgot to get the headlights fixed, but don’t worry about it.” Kaito replied back cheerfully. He tried his best to focus his eyes into the dark. He hoped he would be able to avoid any potholes.

Truth was he was a little nervous about driving in this dark road path without any light for guidance. It was a new moon, tonight.

Miku nodded and leaned against her chair. She would have tried to make conversation with him, but she noticed how preoccupied he seemed with driving.

“Let’s sing a song!” Rin chimed in. Len started the intro of the song, before Rin joined in. “Will you feel it.” “Wanna feel it! It feels like I’m top of the world!”

Miku smiled lightly feeling content at hearing her friends singing. Her fear of the dark vanished, temporarily.

“Come on guys, sing along with us!” Rin said, poking her head in between the space of the passenger and driver seats.

“Ah, sure,” Miku replied back, before she turned to stare back at Kaito. She noticed that Kaito had a trail of sweat running down the side of his face.
“K-kaito is everything alright?” Miku’s tone sounded very worried.

“No,” Kaito answered, blatantly. He couldn’t keep his friends in the dark about him feeling insecure about this car ride home.

He was about to press firmly on the brake, when he felt the car tremble. The cars velocity increased as it went flying into the air. Kaito had unknowingly entered through a dead end road and had led them straight to a steep hill.

Rin squealed as her eyes widened, before she was thrown back. Her back slammed against the cushion of the backseat. Len reached out and grabbed Rin, before using his body to cover her.

“Kyaa!!”Miku screamed.

The car came crashing down into the lake. The car rapidly started sinking down the water. Kaito unlocked the car door and opened his door, before getting out. He then came up for air, before diving back in and swimming to go help Rin, Len and Miku.

Len soon came up for air and looked around him, before releasing a sigh of relieve. Rin was catching her breath only a few feet from him. She then swam over to him and floated next to him.

“Thank goodness, we’re all safe.”

“That was quite the adventure. I wanna do it again!”

Miku was floating on the water hugging her huge dolphin plushy. “Kaito, this is the last time you’re driving us home!”

Miku’s wail reached Kaito’s ears. He cringed, before he turned his focus on his surroundings. His blue eyes widened in surprise when he spotted Meiko laughing at them from above her perched spot on the boardwalk.

“Hehe, you guys look like drenched cats.” Meiko stated as her friends got out of the Lagoon Lake. The park was surrounded by big trees.

Miku pouted as she took off her pants that were all soggy. Thankfully, her shirt was long enough to cover her underwear. She walked over and leapt forward to grasp Kaito’s arm.
Kaito jumped lightly, thinking Miku was going to hit him.

“You’re buying me a new pair of pants!” She said with a pout.

“Ah, okay.” Kaito replied back. He scratched the back of his head feeling guilty. “I will definitely take you out shopping to those cute new stores they opened recently at the mall.”

Miku smiled lightly. She wasn’t really angry. She simply wanted to find an excuse to cling to his arm. Kaito was really such a sweet, generous guy. A bit annoying at times, but she secretly loved him to pieces.

Meiko smiled at her two friends,” Next time we meet Kaito, make sure not to take any shortcuts, okay?”

She stuck out her tongue at them in mischievous.
